  1. Soak poppy seeds in warm water for 30 minutes and grind to a paste.
  2. Heat mustard oil, temper nigella seeds.
  3. Add potato cubes and turmeric, fry for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add poppy seed paste, green chillies, and salt.
  5. Add a splash of water, cover and cook until potatoes are done.
  6. Serve as a side with rice and dal.
