Ingredients
- 1 cup chana dal
- 2 tbsp ghee
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 cloves
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 3 tbsp grated coconut
- 1 tbsp raisins
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp turmeric
- Salt to taste
Steps
- Pressure cook chana dal with turmeric until soft but not mushy.
- Heat ghee, temper cumin, bay leaves, cloves, and cinnamon.
- Add cooked dal and mix.
- Add coconut, raisins, and sugar.
- Simmer for 8-10 minutes.
- Serve with luchi for a festive meal.
