Chilli Chicken
Crispy battered chicken tossed with peppers in a hot, sweet, and sour sauce — the Indo-Chinese classic.

Ingredients
- 500g chicken, boneless cubes
- 2 tbsp cornflour
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp chilli sauce
- 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 1 onion, cubed
- 1 bell pepper, cubed
- 6 dried red chillies
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp oil
- Salt to taste
Steps
- Marinate chicken with cornflour, egg, salt, and soy sauce.
- Deep fry until golden and crispy. Set aside.
- Heat oil in a wok, sauté garlic and dried chillies.
- Add onion and bell pepper, stir fry on high.
- Add all sauces, vinegar, and a tbsp of water.
- Toss in fried chicken and stir fry 2 minutes.
- Serve as a dry starter or with gravy over noodles.
