Cholar Dal (ছোলার ডাল)

Ingredients
- 1 cup chana dal, soaked
- 2 tbsp grated coconut
- 1 tbsp raisins
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 green cardamom
- 1 small cinnamon stick
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 tbsp ghee
- Salt to taste
Steps
- Pressure cook soaked chana dal with turmeric and salt until soft.
- Heat ghee, temper cumin, bay leaf, cardamom, and cinnamon.
- Add cooked dal and stir well.
- Add coconut, raisins, and sugar.
- Simmer for 10 minutes until flavours meld.
- Serve with luchi or rice.
