Ingredients
- 1.5 cups chickpeas, soaked overnight
- 1 small onion
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1 cup fresh parsley
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 2 tbsp flour
- 4 pita breads
- 2 tbsp tahini
- 1 tomato, sliced
- Lettuce
- Pickled cucumbers
- Oil for frying
- Salt to taste
Steps
- Blend soaked chickpeas, onion, garlic, parsley, and spices to a coarse paste.
- Add flour and salt, mix well. Refrigerate 1 hour.
- Shape into small patties.
- Deep fry until golden and crispy outside, green inside.
- Warm pita breads.
- Fill pita with falafel, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and tahini drizzle.
