Idli Sambar

Ingredients
- 2 cups idli batter (fermented)
- 1/2 cup toor dal
- 1 drumstick, cut
- 1 carrot, diced
- 1 tomato, chopped
- 1 tbsp sambar powder
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp tamarind paste
- Curry leaves
- 2 tbsp oil
- Salt to taste
Steps
- Steam idli batter in moulds for 10-12 minutes.
- Cook toor dal until soft.
- Heat oil, temper mustard seeds and curry leaves.
- Add vegetables and sauté. Add sambar powder and tomato.
- Add cooked dal, tamarind, salt, and water.
- Simmer for 15 minutes.
- Serve idlis with hot sambar and coconut chutney.
