Ingredients
- 2 ridge gourds, peeled and sliced
- 2 tbsp poppy seeds, ground to paste
- 1 tsp nigella seeds
- 1 green chilli
- 2 tbsp mustard oil
- 1/4 tsp turmeric
- Salt to taste
Steps
- Peel and slice ridge gourd.
- Heat mustard oil, temper nigella seeds.
- Add ridge gourd slices with turmeric and salt.
- Cook covered for 5-7 minutes until soft.
- Add poppy seed paste and green chilli.
- Cook for 5 more minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve with rice.
