Ingredients
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1/4 cup besan
- 1 cup chopped methi leaves
- 1/4 cup yogurt
- 1 tsp ginger-green chilli paste
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- 1 tsp ajwain
- 2 tbsp oil + more for cooking
- Salt to taste
- Water as needed
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine flour, besan, methi, yogurt, and all spices.
- Drizzle oil and mix, then add water little by little to form a soft, pliable dough.
- Rest the dough for 15 minutes.
- Divide into small balls and roll out thin discs, dusting with flour as needed.
- Cook on a hot tawa, flipping once, and drizzle a little oil on each side until golden brown spots appear.
- Stack and serve warm with yogurt, chhundo, or pickle.
