Pasta Arrabiata
Penne in a fiery garlic and red chilli tomato sauce — simple Italian comfort with a spicy kick.

Ingredients
- 250g penne pasta
- 4 cloves garlic, sliced
- 1 can crushed tomatoes (400g)
- 1 tsp red chilli flakes
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh basil
- Parmesan (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Steps
- Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water.
- Heat olive oil, sauté garlic until fragrant.
- Add chilli flakes and crushed tomatoes.
- Simmer 10 minutes until thickened.
- Toss in pasta with a splash of pasta water.
- Garnish with fresh basil and Parmesan.
