Ingredients
- 500g large prawns
- 1 cup coconut cream
- 1 onion, paste
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 1/4 tsp turmeric
- 2 green cardamom
- 1 small cinnamon stick
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 tbsp mustard oil
- 2 green chillies
- Salt to taste
Steps
- Clean and devein prawns. Marinate with turmeric and salt.
- Heat mustard oil, fry prawns briefly, set aside.
- Temper cardamom and cinnamon in the oil.
- Add onion paste and cook until light golden.
- Add ginger paste, green chillies, and sugar.
- Pour in coconut cream and simmer gently.
- Add prawns and cook 5-7 minutes on low heat.
- Serve with steamed basmati or Gobindobhog rice.
